Interest Assessments

We offer two possibilities to add data and validity to the conversation about who students are (personality assessment) and what they want to study (interest inventory). We use these tools to help students better understand themselves and the realistic possibilities that exist for their futures. By exploring their values and interests, they are empowered with information to feel confident about making decisions for their futures.

Strong Interest Inventory® Assessment

The Strong Interest Inventory is an interest-based assessment that helps students identify their work personality by examining their interests in six broad areas: realistic, artistic, investigative, social, enterprising and conventional.

It then lists careers that are held by people with similar interests, and typical post-secondary majors that relate to those careers. Students are encouraged to explore careers that are held by people with similar interests, assessing daily tasks and the growth rate of that career.

The AchieveWorks® Assessment

The AchieveWorks® is a personality assessment based on identifying the dimensions of personality: introvert, extravert, sensing, intuitive, thinking, feeling, judging and perceiving. This assessment connects students to careers matching their personality types and interests. Students can research these careers using the ONET database.

Feedback

I just want to say thank you for all the help that you gave me in regards to my university applications.

I’m very pleased to say that I got accepted by the four schools that I applied to: UBC, Quest, UVIC and SFU. I am so pleased. I’ve decided to accept UBC and hopefully get into the Coordinated Arts Program. Thank you for letting me know about that program.

I really appreciate all the help you gave me. I am not sure if I would be where I was without your support.

We are exceptionally happy with the information we received from Amanda and our overall experience at Options Solutions. We are looking forward to coming in again to follow up with Amanda and make use of the additional services available to us.
