We are proud to be supporting the Dundarave Festival of Lights for a second year. The Festival has raised over $50,000 for the Lookout Emergency Aid Society in support of ending homelessness. The Society’s biggest initiative is the North Shore Culinary Training program run by Chef Don Guthro. This program allows those who are homeless to experience the power and dignity of working and contributing to their community. You can help support the Lookout Emergency Aid Society by taking the time to come out and view the holiday trees at Dundarave Pier. Make sure to stop by the Options Solutions tree and don’t forget to vote for the tree you like best. The Festival offers four Saturdays of free entertainment. You can learn more by visiting http://www.dundaravefestival.com.
This winter season, we will also be supporting the Vancouver Model United Nations (VMUN) conference. VMUN is an annual conference that provides students with the opportunity to engage in intensive, rigorous debates on world issues. It is an academic simulation of the United Nations and covers a diverse range of topics including global health, the environment, human rights and much more.
