Have you ever considered joining a writing group? If so, then Vancouver Public Library has just the initiative for you! Team Creative Writing Hive meets once a week during the spring and provides a chance to brainstorm and share story ideas with like-minded peers. You will also have the opportunity to meet visiting guest writers! In their ongoing safety efforts, all VPL in-person programs will be restricted in numbers.
Programming at the library is not limited to just writing and reading. This spring, VPL is also hosting Teen Art Hive, a chance to meet with others and gain hands-on experience by exploring different styles of art. In addition, the Britannia branch will be hosting guest artists!
Do you remember how proud you felt when you first learned to read? Reading Buddies is a wonderful opportunity to support members of your community. You’ll be paired with a younger student, and during weekly reading sessions, help them become familiar with the library and discover a love for books! Training is provided, and programming runs from January – March.
If you are interested in any of the above programs, visit VPL’s website or contact the individual branch to learn more. Programs | Vancouver Public Library (vpl.ca)
