- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Sport and Leisure Management, Trinity Western University (Langley, British Columbia)
For business-minded students who love the world of sport and recreation and are looking to pursue their education in a faith-based setting, this program offers training for careers in the fields of sport management, public relations, marketing, business and athletic management, and municipal recreation. Offering courses in public relations, communication, accounting, and advanced marketing, Trinity Western University connects students to experts in the field through meaningful internship opportunities. Some of the participating experiential education partners include Vancouver Giants, Langley Sportsplex, BC Lions, and the Vancouver Canucks.
- Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Studies, University of Regina (Regina, Saskatchewan)

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies offers a dynamic Sport and Recreation Studies program, which invites students to develop a theoretical and practical understanding of the importance of recreational and leisure pursuits to a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle. Strengthened by business principles and approaches, this program encourages students to learn about the administration of sport at the local, provincial, and national levels. Students can take courses in leadership, venue and event management, live event production and communication, data analytics, and marketing, and have the opportunity to apply their learning and skills through fieldwork at a variety of participating locations.
- Sport Management Diploma, Niagara College (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario)
This three-year advanced diploma combines fundamental business skills with relevant sport industry knowledge and applications. Students complete courses in sport law, sponsorship, finance, marketing, ethics, media, sales, statistics, event and facilities management, and sport sociology. In addition, they dedicate over 400 hours to sport management practicum experiences either locally or internationally. Some participating organizations include the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, CBC Sports Television, Niagara IceDogs, and the Canadian Olympic Committee. With small class sizes and dedicated faculty members, students at Niagara College can prepare for dynamic, rewarding careers as marketing, promotions, and sponsorship coordinators, or sports recruiters, scouts, and administrators.
- Recreation and Sport Management Diploma, Vancouver Island University (Nanaimo, British Columbia)

This two-year diploma launches students toward a career in the sport, recreation, health, and wellness industries. With small class sizes and ample hands-on learning, students engage in projects that build positivity and confidence around sport. Aided by two paid, co-ops, this program prepares students for work in agencies, tourism organizations, and outdoor recreation venues across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. With the goal of developing healthier, more active communities, the program offers courses in education, business, diversity and inclusion, and marketing. Students interested in further studies can apply to the third year of VIU’s Bachelor of Tourism Management with a Recreation Major.
- Outdoor Recreation Management Diploma, Capilano University (North Vancouver, British Columbia)
For those with a passion for the outdoors, this two-year diploma develops students’ skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to contribute to the exciting and challenging outdoor recreation industry. Enriched by an engaging mix of classroom study, relevant field trips, and hands-on work experience, Capilano University’s program invites students to take courses in tourism marketing, financial planning, leadership and experiential education, entrepreneurship, outdoor guiding, risk management, and more. Students share their commitment to the great outdoors and train to excel in careers in the areas of adventure tourism, outdoor community recreation, parks and conservation, and outdoor education.
