About
Emily Winckler holds BAs in English Literature and History and a BEd from UBC. Her academic passions led her to additional studies in Poland and Sweden, doing research into the intersection of history and literature with UBC and Uppsala University. Before joining Options Solutions, Emily taught English, Social Studies, and Careers in the West Vancouver School District and ELL to students of all ages. In addition, Emily’s background in supporting students with diverse learning profiles fuels her passion for executive function coaching.
As a writing coach, Emily believes that building a strong foundation is the key to successful writing. She is dedicated to meeting each student where they are, working on their individual strengths and challenges, and ultimately showing them how to unlock their inner writer. She is passionate about empowering her students to own their stories while gaining a deeper understanding of writing mechanics.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, creative writing, and exploring artistic hobbies such as crocheting and bead embroidery.
