UBC Summary of 2014 Admissions Cycle
- Applicant numbers: Vancouver – 9,000 from BC (50% of total), Okanagan – 1,700 (42% from Okanagan)
- First choices: Vancouver Adm. Average: 93% (range 91 – 95%); Okanagan Adm. Average: 85 -87%
- Impact of UBC Personal Profile: 62,000 UBC Personal Profiles were read last year: 85% were admitted on their broad-based application

- Four-year, direct-entry program: Admit: 40 students
- Admission alternative: Automatic consideration for Arts

Curriculum structure:
- 60 out of 120 credits are mandatory (13 credits for a narrow range of specialization)

- Features: students will be credentialed in media theory, creative and technical practice and inquiry. The program offers community-based research and industry placement
Bachelor + Master of Management (Dual Degree)

This program combines interest within Science- and Arts-based degrees with skills in Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management.

Application procedure: Once a student has applied to an undergraduate program and received their unique UBC Student Number, they’ll need to complete the UBC Bachelor + Master of Management Dual Degree Application Form using this number and submit a 90-second video essay. If the application to the BMM Dual Degree is unsuccessful, the application will still be considered for admission to your undergraduate program.
- Admissions average: Anticipated to be Hi 80s (min. 75%)
- No GMAT required.
- Participating Faculties: Students from the following 8 faculties could combine their major in this BMM Dual degree: Arts, Science, Kinesiology, Music, Media Studies, International Economics, Fine Arts, BSc in Wood Products.

- Year 1 – 4: take one or two business courses per year for a total of 3 credits for year. These business courses will count towards your Bachelor electives.
- Year 4.5 (6 months, full-time): Take Sauder business MM module courses such as Statistics, Managerial Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, Operations & Logistic, and Market Research. PLUS: an optional Community Business Project.

UBC Sauder: New program updates
Admissions offers to UBC Sauder are generally given between March and early May. Acceptance offer deadlines are in the following order: May 1st, May 15th, June 2nd.
- Entrepreneurship: a new specialization that cultures creativity and capitalizes on competitiveness in business students. It includes a 2-year capstone course, which allows students to work with other faculties together to develop a business plan.
