About

Simone Dhingra (she/her) is passionate about working with and mentoring students. At McGill University, where she studied English literature, she developed a strong interest in the power of language and communication in the contemporary world. Her experience as a course teaching assistant at McGill, her work in Vancouver high schools, and her role as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Undergraduate McGill Physiology Students have all shaped her approach to student mentorship and written communication. Through these roles, she has strengthened her commitment to helping students improve the clarity, organization, and impact of their writing while preserving their authentic voice. She has also partnered with schools serving underserved communities to mentor youth and is committed to helping high school students achieve their goals while feeling supported.

As a writing coach, Simone connects with students from diverse backgrounds, fosters trust and encourages them to share their unique stories. She meets each student where they are and provides feedback that balances honest critique with encouragement, helping students grow as writers and express their stories with confidence.
