Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver – Teen Mentoring Program: Vancouver
The teen mentoring program provides students in grades 1-7 with teen mentors who become their role models. Teen mentors spend time getting to know their mentees while in a group setting supervisor by a mentoring coordinator. The focus of the program is to build each mentee’s self-esteem and confidence. In addition, teen mentors also benefit from improved leadership skills.

Teen mentors can be of any gender in grade 9-12 at a school in greater Vancouver, and mentors are required to commit one hour a week for the entirety of the school year. All mentors will also receive additional learning opportunities through Big Brothers’ Youth Leadership initiatives, which aims to support teens in developing their leadership skills such as conflict resolution, career planning, and mindfulness. For more information or to register as a volunteer, check out Big Brothers’ website here.
