Here is what’s happening at Options Solutions this week:
Wednesday, September 28th (West Vancouver)
Hilary Potts, from Ivey School of Business @ Western University, will be visiting Options Solutions to talk about applying to and attending Ivey School of Business.
Thursday, September 29th (South Surrey)
Our What to Expect as a Grade 12 Parent information session will provide parents with information about what to expect in the grade 12 year in regards to the post-secondary search process, applications, and supplemental writing, as well as to provide the opportunity to connect socially with others in the community working through the same process.
Saturday, October 1st (South Surrey)
Writing is a process, and one that takes time! The One-Day Canadian Admissions Writing Workshop introduces students to writing components for Canadian applications. The session will include a presentation that outlines the typical essay and supplemental writing prompts required by major Canadian universities and programs (e.g. UBC, Queen’s, Western). During this presentation, session leaders will also provide writing and time management strategies and sample essays from previous years’ successful applications. Students will then be given time to brainstorm and begin writing their application essays.
