Here is what’s happening at Options Solutions this week:

Options Solutions is excited to host a series of university visits at our West Vancouver, South Granville and South Surrey offices. These presentations are offered free of charge, but registration is required. This week, Tristan from U of Calgary will be onsite at our South Surrey office to provide more information about the school and answer any questions.

Saturday, November 18th (South Surrey)
The application process can be complicated and confusing. Our Canadian Application Workshops are designed for students who want assistance completing their Canadian university and college applications in a constructive and supportive environment. Our educational consultants will lead students through completing the application process step-by-step and answer any questions that arise along the way.

Saturday, November 18th (South Surrey)
Many Canadian post-secondary programs require a written supplement as part of students’ applications. Our Supplement Writing Workshops help students complete the supplemental writing portions of their university and scholarship applications, including essays, personal statements, activities summaries and resumes. Our writing coaches help participants brainstorm appropriate topics, plan essay outlines, and expand draft documents. We also offer editing advice to ensure students stay on topic and answer each university’s essay prompts concisely and effectively.
Sunday, November 19th + Friday, November 24th (West Vancouver)
Our ACT Mock Exam + Debrief includes a 4-hour exam, exam marking (including customized essay marking), and a 3-hour debrief. Each student is given a cover sheet to help them understand their successes and their areas needing improvement. In order to get an accurate estimate of a student’s abilities, we use only officially released ACT exams. This is the best “bang for your buck” prep wise, and the most crucial element of prep.
