Volunteer with Frame Running on the North Shore

Want to help athletes experience a sport making its Paralympic debut? Join the Frame Running Volunteer Program to support them in this one-of-a-kind program.

The West Vancouver Track and Field Club is looking for volunteers to support its Frame Running program, which creates opportunities for athletes with a wide range of physical disabilities to participate in sport. Volunteers will work directly with athletes during weekly training sessions, gaining hands-on experience in an inclusive and growing area of para athletics.

What Is Frame Running?

Frame running is an athletic discipline for people with cerebral palsy and related neuromuscular disorders. Athletes use a wheeled frame with a saddle, body support, and no pedals, which they steer with their hands or arms. The frame gives athletes the stability they need to move freely without the risk of falling.

Why Volunteer?

If you’re looking for a way to make meaningful contributions in your community, this is it. You’ll be:

  • Supporting athletes who are pushing boundaries. Frame running gives athletes with physical disabilities new opportunities to participate in sport, train, and compete.
  • Part of a growing movement. Frame running debuted at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in 2026. Now it’s heading to the Paralympics in 2028.
  • Learning something new. Full training is provided.
