Options Alumni: Rachel Lee

on

We have so many stellar Options alumni, and in our new series, we wanted to shine a light on a few of our past clients who have gone on to do great things both near and far. This month, we chatted with Rachel about what she’s been up to since she graduated and her advice for current post-secondary students.

What’s Your Name?

Rachel.

Where and what did you study?

I studied at the University of Southern California for Business Administration with a minor in Music Industry.

How did you choose this institution and program?

I wanted to live in California and pursue music, so LA seemed like a good fit. I also liked that I could major and minor in different programs.

What would you tell current post-secondary students about finding a path? Would your high school self be surprised with where you ended up?

I would say that your first job will probably not be your last. Take any work you can get, even if it’s not your dream job because it will teach you work ethic and life skills. I worked in many different industries before finding my “path”. My high school self would definitely be surprised with where I ended up.

What are you doing now?

I own a wine bar called Dear Gus Snack Bar.

What at Options Solutions helped you the most?

Options helped me look outside of Canada for my education. The best decision I ever made was to go far away for school.

A fun fact about you?

Dear Gus is named after my pet rabbit (Gus) – he is a 9-year-old miniature Holland Lop, and he is also the logo.
