Tell me a bit about your background.

I have a blended background in social work, education, and business. I started my post-secondary journey at the University of Victoria and fell in LOVE with the place, people, programs, and ended up staying there to pursue continuing studies and eventually a cross-continental Master’s Degree in Global Business.

Throughout my time in Victoria, I worked for various non-profits, as well as the university itself. After completing my Master’s degree, I moved back to Vancouver and started working in the agency world – managing large-scale festivals and events (pre-covid), working with CPG companies on branding and marketing, and building an e-commerce subscription business from the ground up. I’ve always wanted to find a career where I could utilize the unique skills gained within these different (yet complementary) spaces and feel so grateful that I get to do this every day with Options!

How have you found your first month at Options?

Honestly, so so good. It’s so energizing to be working with and supporting young adults who are getting ready to embark on such an exciting time of their life! Not to mention, the opportunity to work with an absolute powerhouse team of consultants, coaches, and administrators has been unreal. I have learned so much already and can’t wait to keep growing with Options.

Who is your role model?

My mom, hands down. She brought my sister and me up on her own, worked 2 to 3 jobs at a time to support us, and did not miss a beat. She is the most altruistic and resilient human I know.

What do you enjoy outside of the office?

My favorite thing? I am a BIG foodie, so anything that involves cooking, eating, sharing meals with friends. On the weekends you can find me picking up treats from Granville Island or trying out a new local restaurant!

If you could teach any university course, what would it be?

Technology and Society! I’ve always been fascinated by how the two interact. The positive and negative impacts, how it shapes individuals, cultures, institutions, and just the rapid pace of innovation. I would love to be at the forefront of this; both teaching and learning from students.

What is your go-to productivity trick?

Popping in my headphones (with no music) to block out background noise. It’s a habit I picked up early on in university and it really helps me concentrate on what’s in front of me.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I used to be OBSESSED with Big Brother (reality TV show). As soon as I turned 21, I flew from Victoria to Vancouver to live audition for the show! Spoiler alert: I did not make it past the first round.
