We have launched our updated ACT + SAT prep program, which is designed to help students prepare for both exams, while also offering options for students to focus on preparing for just one of the exams. Most US post-secondary schools require an ACT or SAT exam score, and the exam format and content may be unfamiliar to many students. Starting prep early and following a set prep schedule will help students master the exam.
We have the following prep options available:
Mock Exams
This option includes a 4-hour exam (ACT or SAT), exam marking (including customized essay marking), and a 3-hour debrief. Each student is given a cover sheet to help them understand their successes and their areas needing improvement. In order to get an accurate estimate of a student’s abilities, we use only officially released ACT or SAT exams. This is the best “bang for your buck” prep wise, and the most crucial element of prep.
Next SAT date: April 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM; debrief – April 21st from 5:00 – 8:00 PM (South Granville office)
Next ACT date: May 22nd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM; debrief – May 26th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM (West Vancouver office)
Weekly Prep
Core test skills classes at Options Solutions allow students to prepare for the ACT and/or SAT exam(s) while also building essential academic skills. Students develop their abilities as active readers, learn fundamental grammar, and increase their understanding of essay structure. On-going classes prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT by teaching test structure and test-taking strategy. At the same time, students learn skills that translate into success at school in reading and writing.

Weekend Prep
These weekend prep sessions are designed to deliver a concentration of exam prep. Each Saturday (and Sunday) is divided into two sessions from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 – 4:00 PM. The material used in Super Saturdays/Sundays and Super Weekends is different from any material used in previous prep sessions. Each Super Weekend is situated before an official ACT or SAT test date and is meant to be a focused weekend of study.

Next SAT date: Saturday, April 29th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Essay/Test-taking skills + 1:00 – 4:00 PM – Math; Sunday, April 30th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Critical Reading + 1:00 – 4:00 PM – Grammar/Writing (South Granville office)
