Melinda has been empowering students for more than 30 years. Her unparalleled knowledge about the post-secondary school landscape and admissions process has guided thousands of students towards achieving their goals. Options Solutions’ unique adolescent development approach creates progressive action plans based on each student’s individual strengths, values, and interests. Melinda regularly visits campuses globally, attends professional conferences, and commits to providing her students with the latest “insider scoop” from her vast network.

Having pioneered the educational consulting industry in Canada, Melinda is a sought-after expert, adding her insight to the Canadian and international post-secondary conversations. Melinda is also the host of the popular podcast Admissions Office Canada, where she shares her knowledge, anecdotes, and network with listeners. She also produces a monthly newsletter, Founder’s Feature, which details her latest reads, travels, and passions. Since 2019, Melinda has been a member of the Beedie Luminaries Scholarship Advisory Board and is a Selection Committee member. She joined The Forum board in 2024 to channel her commitment to and passion for female entrepreneurship.

When Melinda is not working with students and tending to Options Solutions, you can find her in the kitchen baking from her weekly library cookbook, pruning her hydrangeas, or traveling with her husband in pursuit of pistachio cornetti. A voracious reader, Melinda is never far from a beach where she is found deep in the pages of a good book.
