Here is what’s happening at Options Solutions this week:
Wednesday, November 22nd (West Vancouver)
Options Solutions is excited to host a series of university visits at our West Vancouver, South Granville and South Surrey offices. These presentations are offered free of charge, but registration is required. This week, Meklit from Huron College at Western will be onsite at our West Vancouver office to provide more information about the school and answer any questions.
Saturday, November 25th (West Vancouver)
Many Canadian post-secondary programs require a written supplement as part of students’ applications. Our Supplement Writing Workshops help students complete the supplemental writing portions of their university and scholarship applications, including essays, personal statements, activities summaries and resumes. Our writing coaches help participants brainstorm appropriate topics, plan essay outlines, and expand draft documents. We also offer editing advice to ensure students stay on topic and answer each university’s essay prompts concisely and effectively.
Saturday, November 25th (South Granville)
Our Video Interview Workshop prepares students for the video interview components of university applications, such as those required by the commerce programs at UBC, the University of Toronto, and York University, as well as the engineering programs at the University of Toronto and Waterloo. The session will include a presentation that outlines the main components of video interview requirements, as well as a practical guide for successfully completing those videos.
