Here is what’s happening at Options Solutions this week:
Tuesday, May 16th (South Granville)
The English 12 Provincial Exam is only a few months away and starting prep early is the key to mastering the exam. The exam is worth 40% of a student’s final English 12 mark, a mark which all universities use to calculate a student’s final admission average. Get a baseline score for the exam and start focusing your prep at the English 12 Mock Exam (+ debrief) session. Students complete a three-hour practice exam, followed by a two-hour debrief (at a later date) of the marked multiple choice and the essay questions.
Thursday, May 18th (South Granville)
Core test skills classes at Options Solutions allow students to prepare for the ACT and/or SAT exam(s) while also building essential academic skills. Students develop their abilities as active readers, learn fundamental grammar, and increase their understanding of essay structure. On-going classes prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT by teaching test structure and test-taking strategy. At the same time, students learn skills that translate into success at school in reading and writing.
Monday, May 22nd (West Vancouver)
This is our final full-length ACT mock exam of the spring prep program. Students planning to write the official June ACT exam should continue to attend mock exam sessions to improve their scores and prepare under realistic test conditions.
