Need Help Evaluating Your Post-Secondary Offers? Meet with Your Consultant

on

We hope our families all had a relaxing and restful spring break. As students return to school for the final term, we understand many grade 12 students are ready to finish high school and move onto the next chapter in their academic careers. However, it’s important that parents and students take note of a few very key things. Our consultant Monika explains the significance of the coming months:

Many grade 12 students are probably experiencing a lot of emotions right now. Some get to experience the excitement of university offers, while some must handle the disappointment of not receiving a spot at their dream school. As they look ahead, they may feel the thrill of planning to move away and the uncertainty about what next steps they need to take – accepting an offer, course selection, residence, etc.

And they still have to finish high school.

As consultants, we can help in a number of ways throughout this process:

April is a great time to meet to weigh different school offers or program choices for the following year and help the student make a decision.

April/May is also an important time to work with students whose academics may be faltering and who may be in danger of losing offers they have received.

May and June are excellent times to discuss how university course selection works and to come up with a game plan for first year.
