Here is what’s happening at Options Solutions this week:
Thursday, February 23rd (South Granville)
Core test skills classes at Options Solutions allow students to prepare for the ACT and/or SAT exam(s) while also building essential academic skills. Students develop their abilities as active readers, learn fundamental grammar, and increase their understanding of essay structure. On-going classes prepare students for the ACT and/or SAT by teaching test structure and test-taking strategy. At the same time, students learn skills that translate into success at school in reading and writing.
Saturday, February 25th (West Vancouver + South Surrey)
Our “Write Well Workshop” series is designed to offer students productive ways of thinking about their writing journey and exercises to ease them into the practice of writing and editing. The Grammar & Punctuation session will cover misplaced and dangling modifiers, pronoun usage, and commonly confused words. If you’re a little unsure about the ins and outs of proper punctuation, we also will discuss and practice using commas, semi-colons, colons, dashes, parentheses, apostrophes, hyphens, and periods.
