At Options Solutions, we recognize that writing plays an important part in the application and scholarship process for Canadian, US and UK universities. Business and Engineering programs in Canada are becoming increasingly selective, and many universities, including UBC and Waterloo, require writing samples from ALL students.
Effective writing matters! The writing portion of applications is often the tipping point of admission, as institutions look beyond marks to understand who students are and how well they can communicate.
That’s where our writing team comes in. We believe effective writing is possible through coaching, modeling and lots of practice. We help students develop lifelong writing skills and strategies as they compose personal, appropriate, relevant and “WOW” pieces for their applications. Additionally, as a result of their working with our writing coaches and participation in our writing workshops, many students see a measurable improvement in their English 12 marks.
