Summer Boot Camps: US Admissions and SAT/ACT prep!

If you intend to apply to US universities in the fall, the summer months can be an important time for strategic planning. To apply to US schools, it is prudent to understand the admissions process and prepare well to attack the online applications. Before you take or re-take the SAT or ACT, it would be beneficial to gain a full understanding of the core sections of Critical Reading, Math and Writing and learn the test-taking skills and tips to perform your best. One way to maximize your summer prep is through summer Boot Camps!

SAT/ACT Boot Camp

The SAT and ACT are standardized tests that are required by most US universities and colleges for admissions. Options Solutions runs a one-week course that focuses on helping students achieve their best potential on the SAT or ACT. The boot camp is designed to give individual feedback on a student’s performance in Critical Reading, Math and Writing through a full SAT practice/mock exam. The participant will be able to identify their strengths and target areas for improvement. With the help of the instructor, you can plan your SAT/ACT prep better by focusing on your time management and applying problem-solving strategies that work for you. We will offer two courses this summer:  Monday, Aug. 5th – Friday, Aug. 9 in our Vancouver Office and Monday, Aug. 19th – Friday, Aug. 23rd in our West Vancouver office.

US Admissions Boot Camp

Options Solutions offers a one-week intensive US Admissions Boot Camp that will help prospective students understand the entire application process. The boot camp will cover key topics, including how to come up with a realistic timeline for applying, working on all aspects of the Common Application, preparing for supplemental essays and requesting teacher recommendations. This is an ideal workshop for students who would like to get a comprehensive start in applying to US institutions.  We encourage students to have their final Common Application completed before returning to school in the fall. The boot camp will run from Monday Aug. 12th to Friday, Aug. 16th (9.00am – 12pm daily).
