Part of Options Solutions’ mission is to get relevant, nuanced, and up-to-date information regarding the post-secondary process to ALL families. We commit to doing this by keeping our blog up to date and speaking – FOR FREE – in the community.
Every school year, we work with parents, PAC members, school administrators, businesses, and community organizations to bring free information sessions to families across the Lower Mainland. We would welcome the opportunity to host a free event for your organization. This event could be used as a fundraiser or offered as a free information session. Students face an overwhelming number of decisions that will affect their educational futures, and the goal of our presentation is to provide parents and students with the information they need to navigate the post-secondary process with grace and good humor.
What to Expect
Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the university admissions landscape has seen many adjustments, and students have been met with new challenges to overcome in their application processes. In February, Melinda, Options’ Founder and President, will present to Point Grey and in April she’ll be at Saint Thomas Aquinas. She delivers a data-driven virtual presentation on the trends in post-secondary, focusing on factors influencing the 2023 admission cycle. To combat the competitive climate, Melinda, with her usual warmth and enthusiasm, offers practical strategies for families to find their way and to strategize their process. Melinda also explores academic and extra-curricular requirements and how students can differentiate themselves in an authentic way.
