Important ACT, SAT, AP, and IB Updates


Given our current situation, the best things we can do right now are communicate with each other, stay positive, and keep up-to-date with the latest changes! Here is a guide to some of the big changes concerning our Grade 11 and 12 students this spring.

ACT Updates

  1. The April 4th ACT is cancelled.
  2. Students registered for that exam can reschedule for June 13th or future dates for free. Registered students can also receive a refund if they choose to cancel.
  3. Every student registered for the April exam should receive an email from the ACT informing them of this change and how to reschedule.

SAT Updates

  1. The May 2nd SAT and SAT Subject Tests are cancelled.
  2. College Board will be sending an email out shortly to students registered for the May exam.
  3. The June 6th exam is not cancelled at this time.

AP Exams Updates

  1. In-person, full examinations are cancelled for spring 2020.
  2. Each AP subject will be giving a 45-minute, online free-response exam. This exam will cover only the first 75% of course content. Specific information about which units each subject test will cover can be found on their website.
  3. There will be two testing dates for each exam; these dates will be released April 3.
  4. You can choose to cancel your AP exam for free.
  5. There are free, live AP review courses available online through the College Board website.

IB Exams Updates

  1. May 2020 examinations have been cancelled for Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme candidates. These diplomas will be awarded based on students’ coursework.
  2. There are extended deadlines for coursework elements; these extensions are available here.
  3. November IB exams are still scheduled, and students can defer their May exam for that testing date.
  4. IB still intends to release grades on July 5.
