Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Integrated Business + Humanities – McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario)
This unique program integrates a traditional business school education with the critical thinking and communication skills offered by the humanities. Students learn in a small cohort-based program that includes live case study analysis, hands-on internship and travel abroad opportunities, as well as courses focusing on communication, ethical leadership, and historical and theoretical approaches to different business topics. The program’s four pillars include leadership, community engagement, global mindedness, and social enterprise.
During their time in the program, students have the opportunity to be mentored by CEOs from the Greater Toronto Area and around the world in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. In doing so, they step outside of their comfort zones to engage with business enterprises around the globe, tackling social issues in specific countries, such as South Africa.
For students looking for “business with purpose,” the chance to learn how to approach complex social challenges, such as inequality and climate change, through business, this may be the program for you! Our consultants love to dive into the intricacies of Canada’s diverse business education landscape to find the right program for each student.
