SUMMARY:ACT/SAT Mock Exams and Debriefs
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 4-hour exam\, exam marking (including customized essay marking)\, and a 3-hour debrief. Each student is given a cover sheet to help them understand their successes and identify their areas needing improvement. In order to get an accurate estimate of a student’s abilities\, we use only officially released ACT and SAT exams. Taking practice tests helps students prepare for the stamina required on test day. \nWe recommend EVERYONE (even those who have completed a PSAT) take a practice exam for the ACT and/or SAT. This is the best way to get a baseline score early. \nDates:\nOct 7 – Mock Exam emailed (returned by Oct 11 at 10am)\nOct 15\, 4pm-7pm – Debrief (ACT only) \nNov 18 – Mock Exam emailed (returned by Nov 22 at 10am)\nNov 26\, 4pm-7pm – Debrief (ACT only) \nJan 27 – Mock Exam emailed (returned by Jan 31 at 10am)\nFeb 3\, 5pm-8pm – SAT Debrief; Feb 4\, 4pm-7pm – ACT Debrief \nFeb 24 – Mock Exam emailed (returned by Feb 28 at 10am)\nMarch 4\, 4pm-7pm – Debrief (ACT only) \nMay 19 – Mock Exam emailed (returned by May 23 at 10am)\nMay 26\, 5pm-8pm – SAT Debrief; May May 27\, 4pm-7pm – ACT Debrief \nCost: \nACT or SAT mock exam and debrief: $250+ applicable taxes\, includes 4-hour exam\, exam marking and 3-hour debrief session. \nACT or SAT mock exam only: $150 + applicable taxes\, includes 4-hour exam\, exam marking.

SUMMARY:Writing for Applications
DESCRIPTION:These sessions aim to help students complete the supplemental writing portions of their post-secondary and scholarship applications. \nWriting Workshop allows students to work on the written portions of their US\, UK\, and Canadian applications (and scholarship applications\,\ntoo!) in an oversighted and productive environment. Students are able to receive assistance in all parts of the writing process: brainstorming\, drafting\, editing and finalizing their work. We accommodate students working on a variety of projects all in the same session\, and our writing coaches work personally with students on their unique pieces. \n\nStudents should have handy their list of universities and programs they are applying to for this session.\nIf you are in person\, please bring a laptop. All students need a Google account to access Google Drive and Google Classroom.\nDue to COVID protocol\, please plan to wear a mask and bring your own water bottle\, snacks and writing utensils.\nWe strongly encourage all students to attend an Intro to Canadian Supplement Writing Workshop before attending a Supplement Writing Workshop.
