Students will learn the essentials to writing expert\nargumentative essays\, the most common essay genre they will\nwrite in high school. Materials will be provided. \n  \nThis course will cover: \n\nUsage of evidence\nMLA citations\nTargeted editing\nActive reading\nEssay planning\nThesis construction\n\n  \nThe session will be interactive and dynamic. Students will leave with a clearer\nunderstanding of essay writing basics and how to apply those skills. \n*Students are asked to bring a laptop if they prefer to type their essays.
