Navigating the New Normal: Answering your questions about the admissions process

Here at Options, we know that many of our grade 11 students are wondering about the state of post-secondary admissions for 2021. That’s why we’re hosting a free webinar on April 22 at 7 pm to provide the most up-to-date information on the admissions process. This week, we chatted with Options President and Founder Melinda Giampietro to learn more about her vision for this webinar.

Q: First of all, how does online school seem to be going overall?

A: I’ve been so impressed with students’ resiliency, willingness to learn in a new format, and the goodwill they have shown their teachers, who are also trying to learn something new. Students are finding their way and finding the good in their situations.

Q: What are your goals for this upcoming webinar?

A: For the webinar, I am hoping to facilitate a discussion on topics that are at the forefront of our parents’ minds right now, including navigating online school, changing grades and report cards, navigating the cancellation of summer activities and how all of this influences post-secondary admissions.
