We were advised on July 29 that there was an issue with the English 12 Provincial Exam marks from June 2019. The ministry confirmed in a public statement on August 1 that the issue had been resolved.

UBC has confirmed with us that “Students calling about the BC English 12 provincial exam issue can rest assured that no final admission decisions are being made until we can confirm that we have reliable and accurate data from the Ministry. So this error should not have any negative effects on students who have accepted their offer of admission.”
Queen’s University has confirmed with us that “they will be extending the August 1 deadline for the receipt of final grades, for BC students. The BC ministry will advise us when they are certain that all grades are accurate and have been submitted to the OUAC. We want to reassure you that you will not be disadvantaged due to a system-wide issue that is entirely beyond your control.”

The ministry has said: “We are still investigating the results for the June 2019 Language 12 Provincial Exams and will provide an update on July 31st.. Once the exam results are finalized, all orders placed to “Send Final Marks when they become available” will be processed.”
