Shereen holds a B.A. (Combined Hons.) in English and French from the University of Exeter and a M.A. in English Language & Literatures from UBC. She has both studied and tutored in France, the UK, and at UBC, and hopes to support students who are pursuing transnational academic routes. During her M.A., she worked as a Teaching Assistant on a first-year English course, and was inspired to see her students hone their writing skills and develop the confidence to articulate their ideas effectively. Shereen hopes to encourage students who feel marginalised or daunted by educational institutions to find their voices and recognise their capabilities. She aims to help students think critically and creatively about everything they hear, read and write by attending to the libraries behind each word (a lesson she has learned over the years from her wisest teacher). Shereen guides her students using constructive criticism in order to best prepare them for the challenges of academia while highlighting their skills and potentials.
